“Application Forms" Application forms for completion by Applicants with regard to the placement and advance purchase of Burial Units.

"Board" The Board of Directors of Matidoda Farms (Private) Limited trading as Glen Forest Memorial Park.

"Burial Order" An order given under the provisions of Burial and Cremation Act authorising burial of a body.

“Burial Certificate” A legal document entitling the owner to bury the deceased of their family in a designated burial site, at the cemetery that has issued the certificate.

"Burial Unit" A standard burial plot, grave, of approximately 4 square metres. A plot, also known as a grave site, can, in the case of Glen Forest Park accommodate two burials, and in the case of Chemhute Park one burial. The Rules and Regulations, as adjusted from time to time, define which family members can be buried on the same site.

“Candrina” Candrina Investments (Private) Limited, the majority shareholders of Matidoda Farms (Private) Limited.

“Chemhute Park Single Unit” This is for the internment, burial, of one body. The Burial right certificate allows for the interment of one soul, which in this case is the registered owner of the burial certificate.
As with Glen Forest families can buy multiples of units so as to create and design Family resting places.

"Companies Act" The Companies Act [Chapter 24:03] of Zimbabwe.

"Crematorium" Means any place, site, and building of structures used for cremation of bodies and includes everything ancillary or incidental thereto.

“Diaspora” Any group that has been dispersed outside its traditional homeland. In the first instance The Zimbabwe Funeral Company is catering for all the Zimbabweans that work out of Zimbabwe but want to be buried in their homeland.

"Directors" The Executive and Non-Executive Directors of Matidoda Farms (Private) Limited.

“Family Avenue” This is a Burial certificate that gives the family owning the site to bury between 20 and 40 members of the family. The Rules and Regulations, as adjusted from time to time, define which family members can be buried on the same site.

“Family History” The aim of The Zimbabwe Funeral Company is to nurture the understanding within a family that the present and future members of the family will be buried under the same Msasa Tree. To achieve this it is recommended that family members discuss this together and opt to purchase either Closes or Avenues.

“Family Close” This is a Burial certificate that gives the family owning the site the right to bury between 10 and 20 members of the Family. The Rules and Regulations, as adjusted from time to time, define which family members can be buried on the same site.

"GFMP" or "the Company" Matidoda Farms (Private) Limited trading as Glen Forest Memorial Park. The majority shares of this company are held by Candrina Investments (Private) Limited.

“Glen Forest Single Unit” This is for the interment, burial, of one or two bodies. The Burial right certificate allows for the interment of two souls, usually husband and wife in on site. If the person owning the Burial Right decides they only want to bury one person it is the right. The grave, as on all sites, is fully lined.

“Grave Site” Each grave, burial site, is controlled by a Burial Certificate, which is issued to the owner on full payment of the purchase price. The Burial Certificate is recorded in a register, and only those as reflected in the register, can be buried at the grave.

"Interment" The disposal of human remains either by underground burial in a grave, above ground burial in vaults or the placing of crematorium ashes in a 'Wall of Remembrance", or scattering.

"Matidoda Farm (s)” Matidoda Farms (Private) Limited.

"the Memorial Park" The infrastructure, facilities and improvements of Matidoda Farms making up the Park known as Glen Forest Memorial Park.

“Plots” A term used to generally describe, or refer to Burial Units, Graves or sites.

“Products” The products offered by The Zimbabwe Funeral Company to the clients. This includes, but is not limited to Burial certificates, Grave sites, burial advise, repatriation, updates, and new products as they become available.

“Register” This is the register of “Burial Certificates”. It records who the legal owners of the certificate are, and who may be buried at each particular site. In the case of Closes and Avenues the designate names can be replaced by the proper names of the people that are assigned to particular plots.

“Repatriation Services” The services that The Zimbabwe Funeral Company will undertake to repatriate the remains of a person that dies outside of Zimbabwe to ensure that the family receives the deceased in the correct manner.

Zimbabwe Funeral Company The full name of The Zimbabwe Funeral Company. The Zimbabwe Funeral Company is 100% owned by Local Access Earth Limited, a company duly registered and incorporated in the United Kingdom.

“The Zimbabwe Funeral Company Stock” The Zimbabwe Funeral Company have direct ownership of 1 200 Burial Certificates which it has obtained for sale to its client base. In addition to this stock there are 7 600 Burial Certificates that The Zimbabwe Funeral Company has secured third party rights on. Further to this The Zimbabwe Funeral Company has the Mandate from Candrina Investments to market the Burial Certificates, Grave Units, single, Family Avenues, Family Closes of both Glen Forest Memorial Park and Glen Forest Chemhute Park to the general public. In addition to the aforementioned The Zimbabwe Funeral Company will search for “New” products to offer its client base.

In this, The Zimbabwe Funeral Company “Glossary of Terms” unless the context indicates otherwise, reference to the singular include the plural and vice versa, words denoting one gender include others, expressions denoting natural persons include juristic persons and associations of persons, and the words in the first column shall have the meanings stated opposite them in the second column.
