Glen Forest Memorial Park

Glen Forest Memorial Park (GFMP) is located off the Domboshava Road in Harare, Zimbabwe, down towards the Mazoe Valley in the midst of a dense Msasa Forest. This upmarket cemetery,has the capacity to hold up to 100,000 burial units, walls of remembrance, parking areas and reception areas. GFMP is beautifully landscaped with flowering shrubs, orchards and other indigenous trees. The scenic views of the valley are breathtaking.

Each grave is controlled and managed through a "Burial Certificate" that is recorded in a large Register. In this manner each plot, grave site, and owner is recorded. In the case of "Family" plots, whatever size, each grave site is recorded, given a unique number, and the person whose remains will be eventually buried there, all recorded.

GFMP is currently undergoing phased development work but initially opened in July 2003 for interment of bodies. There have been almost 1300 grave sites sold since the memorial park opened and units are available to corporates for bulk sales at discounted prices or for individuals or families for preferred location sales at a reasonable retail price.

The Trustees of GFMP are committed to maintaining the memorial garden to a high standard in order to preserve the natural beauty of the park. There is 24 hour security. The cemetery will be completely walled at the end of the first phase of development.
