Funeral Planning

Rationale

How many times have you been to a funeral and you have heard the expression "well I am sure Fred will have enjoyed   that song" or "did you see the flowers, they were beautiful and are being given to so and so charity after the funeral". 

It is the one function at the end of your life that you are going to attend, and not only would you rather not be there, you have no input in the funeral arrangements or the service that is conducted as your final farewell.

Well this can all change with a new service that is being offered by The Zimbabwe Funeral Company;

*      Plan the service and direct who you would like to speak?;

*      Plan the songs and how many?;

*      Who would you like sitting in the front pews?;

*      What flowers would you like around the church?;

*      Do you want to be buried or cremated?;

*      Do you want to be buried in town or at Home?;

*      Where would you like to be buried at?;

*      What food do you want laid on for the mourners?;

*      What celebrations do you want leading up to the funeral?;

*      How do you want your remains delivered to the church?; 

*      Which church would you like to have your service at?;

*      Would you prefer a graveside service?;

*      What comfort do you want laid on for mourners?;

*      Are you happy for your remains to be viewed?;

*      Would you like a choir or music at your funeral?  

These are just a few of the areas that have to be covered to arrange for your funeral. You will not be there to see that they are followed, and nine times out of ten your loved ones will be too upset to ensure that your wishes are carried out.  

With this in mind please contact The Zimbabwe Funeral Company, register, subscribe to the FUNERAL PLANNER, and know that your wishes will be followed. And if during your lifetime you feel that there is a song you want to change, or there are a special variety of flower that you would like at the funeral then contact us and make this arrangement.   

How to do this  

Register  with The Zimbabwe Funeral Company and send us an email stating that you would like to set up your "Funeral Planner". 

The Zimbabwe Funeral Company will then get one of their members of staff to contact you and walk you through the process. 

What happens once the "Funeral Plan" has been agreed on?

The Zimbabwe Funeral Company will then register the Funeral Plan with the person that has custody of your will, as well as in the case of those holding Burial Units at Glen Forest, notifying the relevant authorities that a Funeral Plan does exist, with the original being held at The Zimbabwe Funeral Company.  

During your lifetime should you want to change any of the provisions of the "Funeral Plan" then you would contact The Zimbabwe Funeral Company who will change the schedule and then notify all the people that you have designated to ensure that your plans are carried out.  

How do we pay for the items we want at our Funeral?

A sinking fund is in the process of being established in Zimbabwe, and it can be arranged for you to leave a lump sum or   contribute on a monthly basis. More information will be available on this once you are registered for the "Funeral Plan"  

What is the Cost of setting up a "Funeral Plan?"

This will vary depending on the amount of service, and other products that you require. An initial Fee of £25.00 is required. Once this is received and you have "Registered" with The Zimbabwe Funeral Company one of our members of staff will contact you to work through the process with you.  

• Initial Fee for setting up  £25.00
• Registering with designated people £10.00
• Changes to Funeral Plan £5.00 per change
• Ensuring Funeral Plan is attached to the will £5.00
• Introduction to Sinking Fund: Free Introduction.
